•IRINA• I have lived in the Czech Republic for four years. I come from Truskavets, a city near Lviv. I have my mother and a large part of my family in Ukraine. My mom would be willing to come, but only if she could return home. She doesn't want to stay here, Ukraine is very important to her. I work in Prague and every month I send my family, and especially my mother, money so that they can make a living. She is surprisingly calm and not very scared. She says that what comes will come. She has experienced a lot over the years. My mother and I call every day, so far the situation around Lviv is relatively calm, but we never know when that may change. It's a lot of stress for me and we call each other every day. My friend's brother and daughters went to fight in the war. It is our country and we must fight. The background image printed on fabric was taken by Ukrainian artist ARTEM HUMILEVSKYI @humilevskiy during the first days of war. It's an image of his basement where he hides with his family. Today is the International Woman’s Day. These are women from Ukraine.I call them QUEENS and that’s how I portrayed them. How I see them. They worked hard all their life in our country sending money to their families in Ukraine......and now their sons are at war and their daughters on a run with little children from a country that’s fighting for it’s freedom. They need our attention and help. Support the QUEENS OF UKRAINE, support the HOPE. Images printed on fabrics on the backgrounds were all taken by amazing 🇺🇦 photographers from the #nftphotographers community in the first days when the war started. 50% from the sale goes to the artist and the rest to the family of “the queen”.
