Street snaps of friends in our sister brand @gentlefullness Been a really lovely time launching this new project into the world, although behind the scenes its been quite challenging (I realise I say everything is hard won, but I think that might just be our reality.) What hasn’t been hard is designing with the clever @daaaaaaaannnnnnnn on this first and second collection (launching very soon), and @ethanpews too on the one after which we are working through now. It’s also been easy getting people on board - something about the look or vibe people get right away. We just got back from a short trip in NY and although Gentle Fullness is something like twenty times smaller than Story mfg I heard people enthuse about it almost as much. A highlight from this first collection are the checks which were re-made from scratch for us by @nishanthchopra and @oshadi_collective based on a small sample of very old vintage fabric we bought here in Brighton. It was sent to India where it was re introduced into the wild like Jurassic Park. The floral was a 1970s print designed by Padmini of @tharanginistudio’s mother too - it’s really cool to breathe new life into these things. Excited to do more! Available on storymfg.com
