MOTHERHOOD 📍 totally meta me shooting my beautiful cinematographer Daisy — for once, in front of the camera — with her baby Noms at home in Los Angeles. I remember Daisy telling me she was pregnant, working like crazy on set up until the last moment, both musing over what it might be to be a mother — what we had learnt and had to unlearn from ours. We always loved each other because of our mutual penchant for chaos, freedom, making and working and making and working with overhanging teen defiance and stamina — and now, us at home, reluctantly grown up but in total awe and wonder at this beautiful, beautiful unexpected gift of stillness.
