Transformation Tuesday 🎉🎉 2010-2025 42 years old - 57 years old 217 pounds---> 170 pounds (I am 5'2) I can tell you that I feel WAY better today at 57 than I did at 42! 42 year old me was sedentary, sporadically tried to eat better and move - but never stuck to it. 57 year old me walks 2 miles before work every day - strength trains 3x a week - and focused on nourishing my body - finding joy in making meals I love vs. enjoying eating a bag of cheetos (maybe that was me at one time 😂) My biggest tip if you want to turn things around in your wellness journey: Start small - you don't have to change everything all at once. Take one habit you want to change and start there - and build on your successes. Hunger and deprivation or restriction is NOT part of getting healthy. That's the diet culture and you don't have to suffer getting healthier. Create a plan that you like! It's easy to want to follow someone else's journey- but it's better for you in the long run to incorporate things you enjoy - in food and movement. Make a mini challenge for yourself. I am currently using workouts from @madelainerascan - she is an amazing trainer and has lots of videos free on YouTube Success is not tied to the scale - I have had many weeks with zero weight loss or a gain I didn't think I deserved- but if I am proud of the week I had and moved my body and ate great - that's a win!! Let people in your life know you are making some changes- and that you would love their support. My family and friends (and internet friends) are always happy to cheer me on and I love that 🥰🥰 If you have any questions for me - I am happy to answer them. Have an amazing day 🤩 #jenncooks #wellnessjourney #gettingstrongereveryday #walking #healthyeating
