I’m closing in on finishing the Tahoe Ogul Peak List and Snow Mountain (8,014) was next up. I have been putting this peak off for the past couple years. Simply put, it sounded like an absolute suck fest. Fortunately it wasn’t as bad as feared and the heavy bushwhacking never made an appearance. 13.9 miles and 3100 feet. Half of the hike was on trail, half of it was cross country. The summit views were pretty solid and the birds eye vantage point of the American River Canyon was cool. That leaves me at 55/63 Ogul peaks.
