How do you support the fight for civil rights? ⁣For part of his brief lifetime, the activist Malcolm X aligned himself with the Nation of Islam, a Black separatist group. ⁣ ⁣ He became one of their most well-known spokespeople, drawing large crowds, who listened intently to his riveting speeches. ⁣After disavowing the tactics and teachings of the Nation of Islam in 1964, Malcolm X continued working in support of civil rights. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Threatened by the Nation of Islam and under surveillance by the FBI, he was assassinated in New York City in 1965. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ How do you support the fight for civil rights, in big or small ways?
