This is Amir Nasr-Azadani. He is a 26 year old professional football player from Iran who has actively campaigned for women’s rights in the recent uprising in Iran. He was arrested after attending a protest in November and has now received a death sentence after being found guilty of Moharebeh or crimes against god. This is a common false charge under the Islamic regime to suppress protesters. The global football community has already condemned the charge and sentence.
