One of the most frustrating feelings is when you have put time and attention into a goal and it seems like no matter how hard you try, you can’t seem to make meaningful progress. The light at the end of the tunnel never seems to be reachable. What I have come to understand is that if you’re not achieving a goal in which you have been “all in”, it’s not that you’re a failure or that the thing you desire isn’t obtainable. It is that you do not yet have an effective systemic approach to achieve that goal. If you have a goal, here are some steps you can take that will increase the probability of success. 1️⃣ determine what you ultimately want. For example - Many people express the desire to lose weight. The desire to lose weight isn’t really about the weight but about a desire to change how life is experienced living in your body. Think about why you really want to achieve that goal. If the answer doesn’t come easily, keep asking yourself why and then to that response, ask why again. Repeat that process 5x’s which will help you in identifying the R E A L reason you want to achieve the goal. 2️⃣ Perform a gap analysis. What steps need to occur between where you currently are and the goal? X (now) ———> y (goal) 3️⃣ List out the actions you need to take to work through the tasks that need to be completed to close the gap between X (now) and Y (goal). 4️⃣ Determine daily actions that will move you closer to the achievement of the goal ✨ #foodforthought #personaldevelopment #success #system #plan #goals #coaching #quotes #explorepage
