I don’t get to commute as a remote worker so I need to imitate it by going for a morning run, ride or walk. But having a van that is not the most fuel efficient has made me use bike or skis (real Finn I know) to go grocery shopping when possible. Combining the exercising with errands or commuting plus helping our planet and saving money all at the same time is like a quadruple win-win. @suunto thinks so too so they have made it possible for you to actually see how much CO2e emissions you’re saving when you tag the activity as a commute in Suunto app. As an ex-auditor I love some good calculations, so here we go. If my commute distance would be in total 20 km a day I’d save 2,4kg CO2e every day. And since there’s about 260 working days a year I’d save 624kg CO2e emissions a year which already equals to an 1.3 passengers' roundtrip flights to Munich. Everyday choices matter and make us fit at the same time, win-win once again 💪🏼⚡️ @suunto is hosting a Commuting Day on 22nd of September and you can all join - track your commute with a Suunto watch and tag the activity as a commute in Suunto app. After the event, @suunto will share how much CO2e emissions the Suunto community saved. How much you think we can save? Pics by @samisauri from the Suunto fam 🫶🏼
