It’s looked over, it’s spoken down on and it’s still not fully recognized. Many times we live our lives each day but forget that there are those who don’t have anyone to speak to, they don’t have anyone to be there for them or maybe they’re just having a really bad day, more often than you think. Somali culture looks at mental health as someone who is either “crazy" or “healthy” without any thought for those in between, but that in between can be huge! That deep culture doesn’t understand at times how the ‘outside’ World is a lot different now. Appreciate those with you and around you and hold them up any time you feel they might need it.
