Apex predator, the Lion🦁 Always a treat to see these cats so active towards the end of the day. They are especially alert when another animal is close by. In this case, a large female Rhino was around the corner and the Lions were highly interested. At first it was just this younger male stalking her, then the true hunter came and checked her out. In the wild, Lions have social structures. It's often the females who hunt for the pride while the males stay back. Females are smaller than males but are much more agile and fast.
