I was obsessed with these land crabs when we were filming in the Bahamas! Not because they’re considered a local delicacy (we didn’t get a chance to try any) but because they could probably pinch a finger off which makes them really fun to try and catch. Came home with all fingers, all smiles from these crustaceans. These crabs can detect ground vibrations— can you guess why?? It’s because they love eating fallen fruit, and that vibration is a hint that fresh food is around (and can also warn of human predators nearby). #ExpeditionX @discovery @discoveryplus
