The stereotypical image of a small Umbrian village might feature shy country folk with a tendency to over-pronounce the letter β€œd”, or groups of OAPs shuffling in and out of the local community center. While the geography and demographics of Collepino may tick all the boxes for just such a village, it is something of an exception. Here, if you filter out the voices of the tourists visiting Monte Subasio and the stomp-stomp of the trekking boots, you can hear the stories of those who looked at this tiny jumble of houses and saw in them the possibility for a different kind of life. Discover the rest of the story in β€œLa Locanda di Collepino,” in Hidden Umbria Nascosta.
