Yesterday marked another trip around the sun for the brightest star in my life, My mom The “younger” I get the more I realize how much certain people shaped thoughts before they were actions or ideas before they were dreams. I was thinking today of how lucky I am to have the mother I have. It’s funny because as I was starting my day a memory popped into my head - it was year 90 something “SPICE WORLD just got released on VHS” (don’t google when Spice World when was released) and I had just received the Spice Girls fan club box in the mail with said VHS (also if you don’t know what a vhs is, don’t talk to me) honestly my life was complete I popped that tape in had all my signed posters laid out on my bed, contemplating on whether or not to hang the big poster up or keep on folded in the box so it doesn’t get ruined. THEN that first scene hit, I started performing the SHIT out of that choreography so intensely in-fact my mom came bursting in my room and said “are you ok, what are you doing” I froze and said “nothing 👀” in that moment I remember being so embarrassed that I was dancing so HARD that she had to come and check to see if I was OK but when she realized I was living out my SCARY SPICE FANTASY she gave me a little chuckle, but what came after was probably the thing I cherish most. She let me know with just a look, BE YOU!! keep dancing like no one is watching and most importantly share it with the world. Love you pooty!
