Have you ever wondered what goes into producing a 15 second holiday commercial? The short answer is: a lot. Over the last few years, I’ve been fortunate enough to produce and direct some commercial photo/video for some amazing brands. More often than not, the brand/agency already has an idea and it’s my job to bring that concept to life in the form of photo/video visuals. It’s both fun and challenging to put these together as there are so many moving pieces and parts to a commercial shoot. The average consumer only sees the 15 seconds you put in front of them, but what they don’t see are the days/hours of location scouting, shooting, prop styling, food styling, wardrobe, hair/makeup, lighting, editing, and all the coordination that goes back and forth between the producer, brand, agency and crew to make sure the shoot day(s) go as smoothly as possible.
