What a pride month this was. Before coming out as an intersex person I never thought I belonged at pride. Actually the main reason why I think intersex surgeries are happening is to fit us into a heteronormative ideal. This year a new flag was introduced and I saw a lot of speculation online if intersex people want to be included and let me tell you! I’m so proud and happy to be part of the acronym. Not only do many /most intersex people belong in more then one of the letters of the acronym But we also face discrimination by the same sick laws that are set up to hurt our trans family. We still have no protection over our own bodily autonomy and let’s face it we all know there’s more then the binary world we learned in school by now. We are in it together!!! We are no mistakes and we are not invisible! To everyone (visAble or not)who’s exahausted please take care of yourself To everyone else please keep spreading, teaching , preaching and celebrating pride because pride is all year long!
