Sterilize? Disinfect? Sanitize? These words are often used interchangeably but all have different meanings. The one thing these words all have in common is that they are all methods of antimicrobial processes. Sanitizing kills bacteria on surfaces using chemicals. It is not intended to kill viruses. Disinfecting is the process of cleaning something in order to destroy bacteria and viruses. Sterilization destroys all microorganisms and their spores. This is achieved by heat, radiation or chemical agents. I am certified in Infection Prevention and Control. I prefer to use disposable tools. Any items that are not disposable are cleaned appropriately. #pmuartist #pmuclass #torontotattoo #tattootips #lipblushartist #torontopmu
