When we are preparing our hearts to enter a healthy relationship for the first time, we must also give time to open ourselves to new beginnings. So often we say “I’m ready” and yet we are still carrying beliefs that it’s not possible for us, there are no “conscious ones” left, or they simply don’t exist. We set ourselves up for an impossible road block when we hold onto beliefs that stem from our wounds. The truth is, stepping into the unknown is scary. Not knowing is scary, so even if the beliefs we hold about love are limiting, in some ways it feels safer to hold onto a familiar reality. To co-create love from a clean slate asks us to gently peel back the layers and take down the walls that protect us from being seen and ultimately distance us from what we seek. Co-creating conscious love means giving ourselves and our beloved a chance to prove our old stories wrong. To be willing to leave it all at the altar and say “I don’t know”... this time, I don’t know what to expect, how things will turn out. All I can bring is my offering of love and devotion, to myself and my own heart - and to yours.
