• OLGA • I have lived in the Czech Republic for six years. I come from a village near Uzhgorod. I left Ukraine because there are no jobs and we need to feed our children. My daughter came to see me six days ago, she managed to escape when it all started. My son studied in Ukraine, but has been here with me for two years. What is happening now is terrible for me. My sister lives in Sumy, right where the war continues right now. She and her daughter are locked in a bunker, they didn't have time to run and now they can't. I live in fear every day. I have my mother and brothers in Transcarpathia, the soldiers have not arrived yet, but we do not know how long there will be peace there. Mom doesn't want to leave. I wish it was over, it doesn't look like it is, but it'll be fine. I'm very proud of our president, everyone has always run away. The background image printed on fabric was taken by Ukrainian artist Katerina Vakulinska during the first days of war. Today is the International Woman’s Day. These are women from Ukraine.I call them QUEENS and that’s how I portrayed them. How I see them. They worked hard all their life in our country sending money to their families in Ukraine......and now their sons are at war and their daughters on a run with little children from a country that’s fighting for it’s freedom. They need our attention and help. Support the QUEENS OF UKRAINE, support the HOPE. Images printed on fabrics on the backgrounds were all taken by amazing 🇺🇦 photographers from the #nftphotographers community in the first days when the war started. 50% from the sale goes to the artist and the rest to the family of “the queen”.
