Today is my birthday and I'm releasing a project I've been working on for awhile: @qtartcamp - a platform that provides trans and queer youth with art activities and resources. In response to the rise of anti-trans legislation, I originally wanted to volunteer with a trans youth art org in nyc and after some research, realized it doesn't exist (at least to my knowledge). Excited to be partnering with @BrooklynCommunityPrideCenter to release a pilot program of in-person art workshops which will transition to include virtual art programs and mentorships so youth can participate irregardless of location. For me, Art has and remains to be a safe haven, especially in times when I'm in a stressful environment or experiencing isolation. I hope that QT Art Camp can bring benefits of art to the day-to-day lives of trans and queer youth. Big thanks to @tstaug @angel.glasby @mister_vi for helping me thus far, and many other friends that let me message them at strange hours of the night to ask random questions 🪄💕✨🙏
