✨NESTAN NIJARADZE’s FINDINGS And for her third finding of the month, my guest @nestan_nijaradze, curator and co-founder of @tbilisi_photo_festival, has chosen the magnificent work of Natela Grigalashvili (@natela_grigalashvili): "At 16, Natela leaves her village, Tavgeti (literally, "the Village of Mice"), to study in Tbilisi, the capital. She misses her world, but between school and odd jobs, she can't go back as much as she would like. So the rare times when she manages to visit, she takes as many photos as she can, to keep with her the people and places she loves. She hasnt stopped photographiant them since. It’s been thirty years. Things have change over time: the economic crisis has pushed many young people to leave and many of the old people died. Today, the village is almost empty. But Natela continues. She still thinks that her "home" is there, in the "village of mice”. To me her work is a wonderful photographic pastoral. »
