Myeasha Taylor is a native Washingtonian and graduate of Morgan State University, dedicated to building an equitable food system that meets the needs of the consumers and producers. Her journey includes learning and teaching the fundamentals of organic food production on as little as two acres to thirty-three acres, and nutrition education in Baltimore, MD; Washington D.C.; and Goldsboro NC via Civic Works Real Food Farm, City Blossoms, The Center for Environmental Farming Systems, Two Moons Food Group and Dreaming Out Loud Inc. She has nine years of experience instructing youth, adults and the populations of differing abilities in urban agriculture, entrepreneurship, and volunteerism. Myeasha consults emerging and existing food businesses in startup phase that includes operations, local sourcing and sustainable practices. Former projects include a mobile delivery project that aggregated excess produce and food products from black owned businesses, weekly farmers market, and curated a farm stand in a local cafe that featured local produce and products. She is an Anacostia Watershed Steward, Institute for Local Self Reliance Neighborhood Soil Rebuilders’ Master Composter, former member of the Baltimore Farm Alliance and Baltimore Sustainability Commission. Currently, she serves as Dreaming Out Louds DREAM program coordinator for the DREAM program, an accelerator program for low resourced food business entrepreneurs who reside in DC.
