To clean up his image, Luc seeks out a respectable boyfriend. Enter Oliver Blackwood, a barrister and ethical vegetarian in need of a date to a big family event. The two strike up a deal to fake date, but we know how fake dating often goes... I first read this book the same weekend I started talking to @zac_smiles in July 2020. It was a weird time for me with the recent passing of my grandma in the midst of the pandemic’s first year. I was feeling a lot of things and really lost myself in this story. I picked this up again to get ready for Husband Material (review coming next week!) and, nearly two years later, rereading this gem was like visiting an old friend. I just love Luc and Oliver, as well as their friends and family (not you, Jon Fleming and Oliver’s parents). The character development is masterful, the humor is British and wonderful, and the romance made me heart smile. I’m certain most of you have read this one too.
