How can I even begin to describe how much I loved working with @bgeurens? I could not have been more excited the day we found out we were bringing the Necromancer back! When I set out to designing him, @newyearscake had told me this was going to be a Necro 2.0, with a whole lot of extra, punching up the character as we know and love him in every way. There’s frills, spikes, and studs! Oh my! I saw what @villalobosstudios & @magesheather had designed for his hair & makeup (which also saved me loads of time when doing his rendering!) I wanted to incorporate his makeup into his costume, so I incorporated the same veining design on his skin onto the shoulders of his costume, but here they’re black with iridescent green to them. @magesheather very carefully applied the silicone veining and iridescent green for us, while @marmarissa, @notalexus, and myself painting and aged the coat to bring out all the different dimensions and textures happening. . For the Necromancer’s last appearance on the show, since he was slinging drinks, we all felt it was finally the vest’s time to shine, and also made for the perfect transition back to Ted. For that last little detail that was just going to be seen by Ben and myself, he wears my great-grandfather’s over 100 year old @bulova pocket watch. It’s a beautiful pocket watch, with the perfect weight to it, the kind of item you know the Necromancer would’ve nabbed off of one the poor souls in Limbo for himself. It was the little detail where the chain completed his look, and the little detail was fitting for the Necro’s last bit. . I cannot thank my team enough for helping to bring this one to life.
