You are invited to join Disabled Hikers and Latino Outdoors for a virtual conversation about the importance and power of personal experiences and identities in the outdoors while we also discuss the meaning of representation and the new book: The Disabled Hiker’s Guide to Western WA and OR. This virtual conversation will take place on Zoom and Spanish interpretation will be provided by the Tucson Language Justice Collective. Meet the panelists: Syren Nagakyrie (they/them) is an activist, writer, community organizer, and lover of places, and is founder of Disabled Hikers and author of the Disabled Hilker's Guide to Western WA and OR. @syrennagakyrie Claudia Pineda Tibbs (they/them/elle) is an advocate for ocean and outdoor access and is the Board Chair of Latino Outdoors and head of Sustainability for Monterey Bay Aquarium. @cptibbs José Cabello (they/them) is a storyteller, artist, parks interpreter, Program Coordinator for Latino Outdoors Humboldt and is the creator of Orgullosamente Outdoors. @elgordx_afuera
