I’d never been to Jersey in the Channel Islands before. It’s a beautiful place with very friendly people and gorgeous beaches. I get up early with Ada at home, so I got up early in Jersey and walked along the beach in the morning, right outside our hotel, watching the tide go out. And both nights the sunset was so dramatic, like something from a movie. It was really moving and inspiring. It made me want to write new songs and play old ones too. I hope I get to go back there one day.
