Avec sa série « Viscidity », Boris Mikhaïlov a imaginé un type de livre d’artiste inédit compilant textes et images, depuis devenu culte : négligemment collées sur de simples feuilles de papier, les photographies sont assorties de réflexions poétiques, philosophiques, théoriques ou autobiographiques. Mikhailov carelessly pasted his photographs onto pieces of paper, then scribbled thoughts – banal, poetic or philosophical – in the margins.
