Ordinary changes the moment her home is attacked by dark enemies and she sees a vision of her future. However, her destiny is tangled up with Miriam, a fallen valkyrie she can’t help be attracted to that is allied with the very enemy Sigrid must face. Buckle up for this high speed adventure! This is a book about underdogs proving their worth to those who don’t deserve them. I throughly enjoyed the fast pace of this adventure through Warner’s version of Norse mythology with a vibrant cast of characters. The slow burn, enemies-to-lovers, sapphic romance between Sigrid and Miriam was sweet and very PG. The book is told from only Sigrid’s POV and I found her exploration of her attraction to Miriam very endearing and only wish this plot line moved a little faster. I would be remiss not to mention the beautiful portrayal of the deep bond between Sigrid and her horse, Hester. Horse and really all animal lovers will relish in their relationship laid out on these pages.
