I met @jennkaytin in 2010 when we were all living in downtown Manhattan trying to “make it” - she was always working on a screenplay/tv show ideas ruthlessly while working other jobs and we were just opening a studio in a sketchy Chinatown building while djing every night at some random dive bar and throwing parties as much as we could. Fast forward a few years and that TV show idea she had became a success and the movie idea also become a hit on Netflix that ended up literally breaking a Lizzo song... Fast forward some more years and I sent her @madridjules debut EP when it was still demos to check out - fast forward more time one of those then-demos is now in the NUMBER ONE MOVIE WORLD WIDE ON NETFLIX...Not only that but in a huge steamy 10 Things I Hate About You nod moment. Its rare nowadays that people with such great power in the entertainment industry take chances on brand new artists without stats to back them up, but Jenn has this rare thing we in the biz call ~taste~ and she trusts her intuition/gut which is how talented people win.. So a HUGE shout to Jenn and @robertlowry for including us in this banger ! I grew up watching all the iconic teen films that this movie references so this is full circle in many many ways <3.
