As some of you may know, I've been collecting White House Christmas Ornaments for decades, a tradition I look forward to every year. I am thrilled to introduce the Official 2022 White House Christmas Ornament, the White House in Gingerbread, a replica of a gingerbread house that even comes with a gingerbread-scented insert. I think one of the sweetest holiday traditions of the season in the nation’s capital is the official White House gingerbread house. Since the late 1960s, pastry chefs have baked, constructed, and decorated a gingerbread house for the enjoyment of the First Family, the American people, and White House holiday visitors and is put on display on a 1902 mahogany eagle console table in front of a gilded pier mirror in the State Dining Room.
