These squishy blobs tend to be much more shy then their furry counterparts (sea lions), but when they do decide to interact it’s always a treat. On this particular day we were out at the Coronado islands just over the border in Mexico when this fella showed up. He followed us around for hours, extremely curious and each time getting a little closer and closer until he took a liking to @nathanminatta and the fins he was wearing. He kept coming up and gently nibbling on the fins and luckily nathan always has a camera in hand so he was able to capture the interaction. We are so lucky to have these islands just a short boat ride away from us, it’s something you have to take advantage of. . It’s always important to only interact with wildlife when they are willing to interact. If you keep your distance and stay calm, often they will come to you to say hi, and sometimes even play. . @diver.usa @riffe_international are you guys putting something on these fins?
