@baileyzeats came to @arlogreyaustin and took this video of our current “FRIED STEAMED BUNS” on the menu. The photos that follow are my personal photos I took in Singapore. I’ve been twice (long before opening the restaurant) and I was obsessed at first bite. Typically, the fried mantou buns are served with chili crab & pepper crab as the vehicle to sop up all the sauce. Admittedly, I may like the buns more than the crab 🤭. At Arlo Grey we make our interpretation of the buns start to finish, then drop them in the fryer upon each order. We keep the buns and change out the “dip” with the seasons. This may be my favorite iteration of them so far. Chef Alex has his work cut out for him to top this set 😆
