I came home from New Orleans with four incredible cookbooks, including Turkey and the Wolf and Mosquito Supper Club. We ate at Turkey and the Wolf not once, not twice, but three times because how could you not? The Mosquito Supper Club was an unforgettable long table meal where we arrived as strangers and left as friends, and I am still dreaming about their potato salad. That is the magic of New Orleans: food that pulls you back to the table again and again and shared meals that turn into stories worth carrying home. This long weekend I’ll be recreating a few of those favorite dishes from the pages of these books.
