Virtually every exercise on a stability ball challenges balance and core strength, making them a great training tool for midlife women. Balance and core strength are essential as we get older. Stability balls are relatively inexpensive so make a good addition to home training equipment. There are many exercises you can perform with one.
Here are 5️⃣ favourites
1️⃣ hamstring curls to target legs, and balance
2️⃣ stir the pot for abs and upper body strength and balance
3️⃣ ball exchange for core strength
4️⃣ plank with roll in for core and upper body strength
5️⃣ single leg extension for core, balance and quads
Try performing each of these for 8-12 repetitions with control.
And when you’re not exercising with the ball it makes a very good substitute for a chair, and can help with posture, spinal alignment, back pain, and balance.
