It was always part of my plan to DIY an electric fireplace in our basement. I didn’t actually know HOW to do it (I mean, you saw the sketch, right? 😬😂) but I knew I was stubborn enough to figure it out. I also knew I wanted an extra wide, modern insert - something totally different from our upstairs fireplace. And oh boy did @dimplex_northamerica deliver! [ A D ] First, the electric fireplace insert was ridiculously easy to install. (Seriously, it was the easiest part of the build!) It’s also simple to operate with a remote or manual switch.
