Hi friends and colleagues! There’s only two days left for Emmys voting! If you’re still making your final voting decisions, please consider my team and I for Outstanding Fantasty/Sci-Fi Costumes for the Legacies episode “The Only Way Out is Through”. . After building a Roman village in 3 days, my team and I set to work on building our Legacies versions of the ancient gods. Featured in this post is Jen (played by the fabulous @pippiphooray1) who is modeled after the god Hephaestus. Jen is a master blacksmith, whose favorite metal to craft with is rose gold. With the gods I played with elements of sacred geometry since it’s found in different cultures and mythology throughout time, and appears in nature and astronomy. For Jen I kept those geometric elements but also showed her organic personality- the part of her that doesn’t fit in with the gods. . Through this carousel you’ll see different variations of her costumes that I drew for our writers and director to choose from (@josemolinatv @huntvision @thomastommybrandon). . Aside from the base of her boots (that we heavily altered beyond recognition) every bit of Jen’s god costumes were custom made, painted, and metal worked. It was another costume that just about every team member had a touch in. In my stories you can check out all the little details that made this costume come to life.
