I will never get tired of talking about camp! ❤️‍🔥💌🧨☎️🚨🌶️🔥🦞⛑️💃🏼⛺️ Camp was the first major impact on my faith and the main source of where I found my people coming into college! I am so grateful I get the chance to continue to build my community and grow deeper in my faith through the vessel that is this retreat!! I got to spend the last 4 days loving on others and being loved on so so well! Recently it has been so easy to fall down, get discouraged, feel unworthy and not enough, and even easier to wear the shame of my choices and my mistakes and my not so distant past, and call it all reasoning for not being loved. I was at peace but still incomplete. BUT GOD through these people at camp, showed me love like Jesus, showed me compassion and kindness and showed me my worth is not of this world or in others but in Christ alone! They gave me encouragement instead of judgement, called me higher instead of calling me out, gave me an example of joy in the Lord when it feels like all hope has been lost! He showed me that I can love others through the trials and tribulations, that God is with me in the valleys the same as he is with me on the mountains! They helped remind me that I can have a sacrificial love no matter the circumstances! That I was never promised an easy life but I was promised to never have to do it alone! They showed me that I am not called by my shame and my sin, I am called by my name, that I am child of God!! I am so thankful to all of the counselors who came before me and all of the leadership that helped put camp together! There have been so many eternities changed because of the Lord working through you!!! @foundation_retreat Graves can be turned into gardens if you are willing to water them! Happiness is fleeting and circumstantial but joy in the lord is never ending and constant through all that life has to throw your way! If you have a Bible, read it! Done let it be a decoration anymore! Take the leap of faith! See what this Jesus thing is all about! The Lord is calling your name, don’t let your shame stop you from running to him!! Love God.
