As I grieve over the lives lost in the Texas floods and what would have been my Mom’s 80th Birthday today, God reminds me of His presence during times such as this. He took me to Psalm 121. A song of Ascents. 1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. 3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber; 4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand; 6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night. It’s a source of comfort. A reminder it’s ok to feel the way I do and my need for His help. My help comes from the Lord. The Creator of all things who is my strength. He’s always watching and knows my every need, and He’s with me at all times. I am in God’s care, and I choose to trust in God’s presence when I can’t “see” Him, and I choose to believe His promises that He will bring me peace. When He permits something He hates, He accomplishes that which He loves - transforming my heart for a stronger dependence on Him, my personal salvation, and that I CHOOSE Him through my brokenness, pain, heart break, and sufferings knowing that He can redeem even the worst circumstances. He IS GOOD. I’m praying for all of the families who are enduring so much heartache, grief, and pain from this horrific tragedy, and that they will rely on Him - their ultimate Helper, Provider, and Healer, and that their hearts, also, will be transformed for a stronger dependence on Him. While writing my book, I experienced His overwhelming power and presence. He offers it to us all. It could have been titled, “Broken Beauty: Piecing Together Lives Shattered by ____________.” You can fill in your own blank. He loves you. God IS love. Come Jesus come. ✝️ #HappyHeavenlyBirthdayMom🦋#CampMystic💚 #BeautyInTheBrokenness #Psalm121
