A year ago today, I said my final goodbye to my best friend. I said goodbye to the man who raised me to work hard at everything I did, to never be afraid to stand up for myself, and to always be humble. It’s been a rough year knowing he’s gone and I’m never going to get him back. To know that my life will never be the same and I will have to go through it without him. Every day I think about him and how many people loved him. I think about the 18 beautiful years I got with him as well as the one horrible year I’ve experienced without him. Life is so precious and I wish nothing more than to have been able to figure that out another way. I miss you more than words can ever describe and I love you more than my heart can handle. I will always be proud to be Coach Maxwell’s daughter and I will always strive to make you happy. I have peace knowing you are with our Savior helping me navigate this life with grace. I love you dad, and I can’t wait to see you again.
