I'm generally a pretty early riser when I go camping (afraid to miss out on a sunrise I guess 😅). This morning I couldn't fall back asleep so I sat at the water's edge observing every subtle change. I watched the early morning alpenglow shift to full daylight illuminating the peaks. The ripples in the water stilled to a glassy calmness, becoming a perfect mirror to reflect everything around the lake. Fish disturbing the surface every now and then by leaping into the air. Eventually the ripples returned and the water glittered with the morning rays. I wasn't bored for a single moment, mother nature really does puts on the best show 🍃
