New Releases—>Nov/7 The Audiopile expansion is finally complete! After nearly a year of waiting for permits and invasive construction, the new side of the shop will be ready for you on November 8th. We’ve added more listening stations, more cassettes, more room to browse and maneuver, plus we’ve priced up hundreds and hundreds of new and used vinyl added to our newly built bins. Another absolutely jaw-droppingly sharp and addictive album, which may go down as their best yet. We also have the reissue of Haram in this week too! Joshua Abrams’ NIS strips down to their original quartet for a dubby take on their mesmerizing minimalist jazz. Steve Hauschildt returns after a bit of a hiatus, returning to his ambi-synth mission after his dalliances with techno for Ghostly. Dave Huismans chases those incredible ex_libris EPs with yet another new guise, transforming into In Transit for a batch of submerged dub-bliss. Kali Malone teams up with the legendary Drew McDowall for a session of drone-synth psyche magick. New EP from Glasgow producer Pub is yet another successful tinkering of his template-setting ambient-house. Shop fave Warrington-Runcorn returns with a new album of hauntological synth haze. Backwoodz also drop a new album from label mainstay Kenny Segal, who teams up with out-jazz trio Human Error Club for an album that should go down nice alongside the newest from SML this week. Rush Hour explore the world of Japan’s techno kayō scene of the 1980s! Big ones for fans of YMO or the Hesei No Oto comp. We managed to grip a handful of one of those coveted Dean Blunt releases from his World Music label, he’s joined by Iceage vocalist Elias Rønnenfelt. Hilary Woods arrives this week with her most striking album yet. An inspired, reinvigorated take on her experimental-folk.
