IF YOU CAN DREAM IT YOU CAN DO IT 💫 I am beyond excited for this next chapter of my life 🔑🏡 This has been a long time coming. With a lot of blood, sweat and tears it’s finally happening. My dream is coming true.... 🍾 🥂 This journey started in February of 2020. I looked into a storefront at Ellis that had not been built yet and decided I was going to persue it. Then our world came to a complete stop. Covid broke out and we weren’t sure where the world was heading. I took this time to revamp my business and make changes. During this time I had come across another location that had been a blowout bar that had closed. I thought it already had its bones so it wouldn’t need as much work to get me started. I worked long and hard on this location for 10 months. Architect, lawyer, contractors to get the plans together hard earned money invested in this property and it fell through right before the lease was ready to be signed. This crushed my heart. I gave myself one week to go through all the emotions of what had just happened. Sad, angry, feeling defeated. I wanted to give up. I was tired but giving up is never an option for me. Instead, I allowed this to fuel me for what was next. I got back up with pride and told myself something better is out there. I didn’t work this damn hard to give up. Within a few weeks I was back to where I had originally looked. I had heard that the project I had originally looked at was being started at Ellis Preserve. I decided to reach back out. When I sat down with the landlord this time he said let me ask you. What is your vision? I said unique, boutiquey, different. This is when he said how would you like to take a look at the cottages. I instantly new I had found my space to call home. This building was just marked historic and was once a school for fatherless girls. It has so much history and charm. Exactly what I feel is meant for me. Sometimes in life things don’t come easy.
