Episode 3 of our climate change series takes us to the province of Sindh: Keti Bunder was once a thriving mangrove ecosystem. Sea intrusion into the Indus Delta has led to widespread environmental degradation resulting in a decline in agriculture yields, and a severe shortage of drinking water. Gulab Shah is secretary of the Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum in Keti Bunder, where he has been witness to thousands of acres of land being swallowed by rising sea levels due to climate change. In this film, we see how his main area of work now focuses on the protection of the remaining mangroves and educating coastal people about implementing sustainable farming and fishing methods. SOC Films is also distributing one copy of ‘Pakistan’s Climate Change Heroes’ free to every educational institute (with only courier charges to be covered). Please share the name, address, and contact number of the institute you would like the book delivered to here: [email protected]. #climatechange #climatecrisis #Pakistan #socfilms
