@dan.streit brings McDonald’s iconic characters to life in his new spot for McDonald’s first adult happy meal in collaboration with @cactusplantfleamarket. “Everyone grew up with McDonald’s, but they actually had a significant impact on my upbringing. During my entire childhood my dad worked for Coca-Cola and their partnership with McDonald’s, so when I was approached to direct the campaign it was almost overwhelming. Having the opportunity to make something so important for them - bringing back some of the most iconic characters of my childhood for the first time in over 20 years - was like a weird ideal dream. My dad and I will be going to my childhood McDonald’s to get some boxes. When I was brought in, the campaign was already in such a fun starting place. W+K welcomed collaboration and gave me so much creative freedom throughout the entire process. I felt comfortable to just be myself. They even let me pick the music and voice Cactus Buddy, that’s insane.
