Feeding our curiosity with @usal.project and @arcteryx.losangeles these last couple of weeks has been so fun and inspiring. We learned about all of the edible plants surrounding us in LA (lots of mustard, radish, nettle) and how to forage safely and sustainably with @fatherofode. The following weekend we learned about the geology of the surrounding lands, and rock identification basics with @alexia_rojas and then got a chance to CLIMB some boulders that were formed over millions of years by spheroidal weathering (🤓). The best part is that we met a truly beautiful and curious community in the process. Just a short year ago, Christian and I couldn’t wait to escape from LA and plant our roots elsewhere but the more time we spend here, and the more humans we encounter, the more evident it becomes that we’re not leaving anytime soon. So immensely grateful for our community these last few months. It’s been one hell of an anxious and unsettling ride getting out of Covid, but I’m not too sure if I’d want to ease back into society anywhere else. I’ve been feeling so held and welcomed and seen despite the existential anxiety that permeates my day to day :)) All that to say, I love you LA and I love all of the humans that we’ve crossed paths with out here! New York was not nearly as kind and gentle to the soul. Cheers to more friendship, curiosity, play, foraging, rock climbing, and everything else that this place has to offer. It’s been such a blast and I can’t wait to see what more is in store 🏃♀️
