Laura Henderson is a senior manager for Blue’s Advanced Development Programs, which is focused on avionics, GNC (guidance, navigation, and control), and electronics. One of her main responsibilities includes developing algorithms and evaluations that help determine a spacecraft’s position, velocity, and orientation in space. “Working at Blue has been a dream come true,” Laura said. “It has been a long road to get here, but it is very rewarding to work here. I was born in a country where opportunities are limited and access to the space industry is almost zero. It took immigrating to the U.S., going to school, and working hard to realize my dream of working in the space industry.
