I wanted to come on here and talk about a big part of my life that I’ve never shared before. It’s about quitting drinking and the amazing benefits I’ve got from it. I used to self identify as a party girl, the friend that never turned down a party and would always be the last one standing (or wobbling). I quit drinking when I first started Lucy & Yak back in 2017, I started again in the middle of the pandemic, I quit again this year. I’m so happy that I did and that I realised how troubling my relationship with alcohol was. I’ve only just realised it this time round, and I honestly believe the majority of my unmanageable anxiety was coming from the booze! From now on, when someone asks me why Lucy & Yak has been so successful, my answer will be “because I quit drinking” - I really think it’s that simple, my entire life is more fun, more beautiful & more meaningful without alcohol! ❤️❤️
