Sometimes all you can really do is laugh it off, hunker down, and get to work 🤙🏻 Today I posted in my stories the not-so-glamorous side of owning your own small business. A lot of times it means late nights (even all nighters like I’m doing tonight), money spent, anxiety, stress, and overwhelm. Now, I’m not complaining that business is booming, I’m just stating that working for yourself isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. You have to hold yourself accountable, give yourself time to rest, know when to say no and when to say fuck yes. A lot of times people don’t see the behind the scenes of what goes on in a creative business. The hours, days, weeks, sometimes MONTHS spent editing behind the scenes. Scouring over hours and terabytes worth of footage to find *the perfect* shot. Planning shoots, shot for shot, timelines, coordinating models, budgeting, and the expense of buying more hard drives to keep up with the never ending mountain of footage are only a few things that go on behind the scenes. While you may see me working from home in my sweats, I’m really working hard on getting content out on time and finishing up current projects while juggling new ones. HOWEVER.
