We have been rigorously testing the new @djiglobal Transmission System over the last month and have been blow away by its performance. Overall the range is unshakable and for aerial applications this is the most crucial piece. Latency is outstanding to the 7” monitor and consistently 2 frames faster than other cinema Systems. When outputting from the SDI expander we are consistently getting 2 frames slower than competing systems which can be an issue with high speed precision shots but for typical drone work it is fine. The bitrate does vary which can effect the quality but this has not been an issue for our use case. This system will rock the market and we are excited to see all the ways it will be used on set. We have mainly been testing this system on custom gimbal projects so it has been hard to share photos but here are some shots from a feature we are working on in NC.
