Happy #ThrowbackThursday Family!!!! Fam, Although it's been less than 2 weeks, I had to share with you the Wonderful Time I had at the @NMAAHC "A Seat at the Table", A Celebration of Black Media and Honoring My Dear Friend #AprilRyan , for her 25 years as a White House Correspondent!!! This "By Invitation Only" Event Sponsored by The @thegrio was Hosted By @christucker and had @therealmaryjblige as the Guest Performer of the Evening!! Very Strict Covid Precautions were put in place to make sure our time at the Event was Safe and Pleasant!!! Because I spent the Evening with #VivicaFoxx and BJ Coleman going from one event to the next, getting through Security at the Museum was a Breeze, and once inside, You were Greeted with Waiters handing you #champaigne . If that wasn't your Cocktail of choice, there was a Full Open Bar!!! I Miss out on Such Great Libations because I don't drink!!!! But to Make it look like I do, I Usually get Cranberry Juice in a Wine Glass, It does the Trick Everytime!!! Passed hors d'oeuvres were plentiful and Every 30 min the room was full of waiters Enticing you to Indulge in the next themed Appetizer. Because I am Always Concerned about my Breath staying fresh, when Talking to people, I passed on Everything..... EXCEPT the Minature Quiche!!! The Guest in Attendance read like a Who's Who!!! Most I knew, Some I wanted to meet for the first time, and Others that I was Graciously Introduced to!!! And it ALWAYS helps when there is Someone in the room that feels You should be Introduced to Everyone!!! Well, And I had mine there, and What a Great Job she did making sure I met Every Politician, Banker, Lawyer, Writer, Mayor, News Anchor, Celebrity, and Chef....Yes, I Said Chef and Many others!!! That Was Fortunate for Me, and for Them, But Unfortunate for Me in another Aspect because All the pics I took were with their Phones, I Never got any for myself!! It's OK, the people that really meant a lot to me didn't mind me Coming back and taking some for myself.
